From the genocide by the Khmers Rouges to the artistic centre of Battambang through the refugees camps.

PHARE, it was originally an experience of self-restoration through the drawing of the Cambodian children at the end of the years 1980, after four years of death and destruction by the Khmers Rouges, the failure of the resistance against the Vietnamese occupation and confinement in the camps. It gave birth at the beginning of the next decade to the establishment of an artistic centre, now one of the most important in Cambodia.
